This CD is an excellent opportunity to make the acquaintance of 27 contemporary female composers from 14 countries. From A for Alexandra to Z for Zeiner, composers from Germany, the UK, France, Romania, Poland and other European countries and the US each donated a piece of music for the piano to the Internationaler Arbeitskreis Frau und Musik on the occasion of its 25th birthday in 2004. The pieces were performed in Frankfurt at the organisation's anniversary celebration on October 16, 2004 and are now to be heard on CD as a live recording.
